APPLICATION WINDOW: 1/30/26 – 2/16/26
From June 21 to June 27, 2026, the Argonauts will return to the Houston area for an immersive, high-impact expedition that brings aeronautics, data analysis, coding, and design thinking to life. With access to world-class universities, NASA, and a thriving aeronautics industry, Houston provides the perfect launchpad for this unforgettable learning experience.
From the very first expedition planning meetings, students will engage in authentic data collection, using real tools and methodologies to guide their thinking and decision-making. Throughout the expedition, the Argonauts will interact directly with industry professionals, explore careers in aeronautics, and investigate the various areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics that drive this dynamic field.
A defining feature of the 2026 Argonaut Expedition is its strong emphasis on mathematics and data collection. Students will collect, analyze, and interpret data to solve complex, real-world problems, building algebraic thinking and advanced data analysis skills. Participants will determine what data to capture, how to analyze it, and how to apply insights to drive effective solutions—highlighting the essential role of design thinking and problem-solving in successful system models.
Students will visit local facilities, participate in multiple hands-on, inquiry-driven experiences, and culminate their learning by presenting their findings to industry partners—with products designed to be shared with districts and school boards upon their return to school next year.
