About Mrs. Keatley: This is my first year as a school counselor. I was a stay-at-home mom since 2011. My husband was in the Army so being a stay-at-home mom made the most sense for us. In 2014 I lost my husband to suicide and had to make a change for my son and myself. I went back to college at Concord University, where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in psychology. After this I was accepted in the counseling graduate program at Marshall University. I will be finished with my master’s in counseling this December.
When I am not in my office you can find me spending time with my family, reading a good book, watching tv, or swimming. During the summer I coach a swim team. I call my team “my kids”, I hope to create those same relationships here at PSHS. My mission is to help foster a loving, supportive environment for our students where they can feel valued, inspired, and heard.
I strive to live by the statement, “I’m here to help.” So, do not hesitate to reach out!
Counseling Philosophy: In school counseling, I lean towards solution focused therapy. As a school counselor I do not always get to see students regularly. Solution focused allows me to help a student efficiently while being quick. It is a goal-oriented approach focusing on the student’s strengths to produce individualized solutions for the student’s problem.

About Mrs. Pack: I have had the pleasure of working as a School Counselor for 12 years in Mercer County. Prior to that I worked in Community Mental Health for four years. While working in Community Mental Health I realized my passion was working with children and what better way to serve them than in the school setting. My first job in Mercer County took me to Lashmeet/Matoaka and Spanishburg Elementary Schools. Although I loved these two school communities, I had a longing to work where I lived and grew up. So, in 2019 I transferred to Bluewell and Montcalm Elementary Schools where I have worked for the past four years. My time at these two schools and the elementary scene in general has been invaluable and I will greatly miss my young students, their parents and all the staff I have grown to know and love. However, I felt the growing pressure of being pulled between two schools and was looking for a better way to focus my talents.
As my daughter grew into her High School years, I developed a passion for working with older students and I was ready and willing to take on a new challenge. When I saw the position for Princeton Senior High School open, I knew I couldn’t pass it up! I watched how the community came together in support of the football team last fall, and I am looking forward to becoming a part of that! I am excited to get to know and serve the students at Princeton Senior High School. I am equally excited to be joining a new work team and family community!
Counseling Philosophy: I tend to lean toward a Cognitive Behavioral approach to therapy. I believe our thoughts (sometimes negative and/or irrational) influence our behaviors and create behavior patterns which can either be productive or destructive. I have found that in reframing these negative or irrational thoughts facilitates more positive and healthy life choices. Students who are able to learn this skill and implement it in their own lives make some powerful changes.
